Terms of Service

FamilyStack is a trading name of Rescout Limited, registered in England and Wales (company number 15690139). Registered with the Information Commissioner's Office, registration number ZC121870. These terms govern your use of FamilyStack tools and services available at familystack.co.uk.

FamilyStack provides tools to help UK families understand their childcare entitlements, analyse nursery invoices, and optimise their financial position. Our tools include:

• Childcare calculator
• Invoice analyser with dispute letter generator
• Salary optimiser for pension sacrifice planning

Additional childcare tools may be added over time and are included as part of your one-off Full Access purchase.

FamilyStack does not provide financial advice, tax advice, or legal advice. Our tools provide estimates and information based on published HMRC thresholds, DfE guidance, and standard tax calculations. These are for guidance only.

You should speak to a qualified financial adviser before making pension decisions, and to a solicitor before taking legal action based on our dispute letters.

We make reasonable efforts to keep our calculations accurate and up to date, but we cannot guarantee accuracy. Tax rules, thresholds, and childcare policies change — always verify with official sources (gov.uk, HMRC) before acting.

You must be at least 18 years old and resident in the United Kingdom to create a FamilyStack account.

You must provide a valid email address to create an account. You are responsible for keeping your account secure. One account per person — do not share your login.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that are used fraudulently, abusively, or in violation of these terms.

Acceptable use: You may not use FamilyStack to scrape data, resell access to others, or use the service commercially on behalf of third parties. The service is for personal use only.

Free tier: The childcare calculator and related tools are free to use with no time limit.

Full Access (£49): A one-off payment that unlocks the invoice analyser (12 analyses included), salary optimiser, and dispute letter generator. Future childcare tools we add are included at no extra cost. This is not a subscription — there are no recurring charges.

Invoice analysis top-ups: Additional invoice analyses can be purchased at £1 each.

All payments are processed by Stripe. Prices are inclusive of any applicable VAT.

Full Access (£49): You can request a full refund within 14 days of purchase, provided you have used fewer than 3 invoice analyses.

In accordance with the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013, your right to cancel begins when you purchase Full Access. By proceeding with your purchase, you request that we begin providing the service immediately. You acknowledge that your right to cancel may be affected once you begin using the service. We voluntarily offer a refund if fewer than 3 analyses have been used — at that point the tool has clearly delivered value.

Invoice analysis top-ups (£1 each): Unused top-up analyses are refundable in full at any time. Used analyses are not refundable.

To request a refund, contact us via the contact page. Refunds are processed back to the original payment method within 5–10 working days.

The invoice analyser uses AI to check nursery invoices against DfE early years funding guidance. Results are advisory — they indicate charges that may not comply with guidance, not charges that are definitively unlawful.

Dispute letters generated by the tool are templates based on DfE guidance. You should review them before sending and adapt them to your specific situation.

We are not responsible for the outcome of any dispute with your childcare provider.

The salary optimiser models income tax, National Insurance, and pension sacrifice scenarios based on standard HMRC thresholds for the current tax year. These are estimates only.

We do not have access to your actual tax code, benefits, or employer pension scheme details. The figures shown may differ from your actual tax position. Always consult a financial adviser before making pension decisions.

We aim to keep FamilyStack available at all times but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may suspend the service temporarily for maintenance or updates without notice. We are not liable for any loss caused by service unavailability.

We take your privacy seriously. See our Privacy Policy for full details on how we collect, use, and protect your data.

All content, design, and code on FamilyStack is owned by Rescout Limited. You may not copy, redistribute, or reverse-engineer any part of the service.

The dispute letters and analysis reports generated for you are yours to use — you may share them with your childcare provider, employer, or financial adviser as needed.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Rescout Limited is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of FamilyStack. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for the service.

We provide the service "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied.

We may update these terms from time to time. For material changes (anything affecting your rights, pricing, refund eligibility, or how we handle your data) we will notify you by email and the changes will take effect for you on the date stated in that email.

For minor changes (typo fixes, clarifications, formatting), continued use of FamilyStack after the "Last updated" date at the top of this page is taken as acceptance.

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
